Hi, and thanks for visiting www.networkstudies.co.uk
The purpose of my blog is to offer a single point of reference on the internet where I can find notes and information relevant to my Cisco CCNP studies. As the weeks go by I plan to include lab info, facts and figures, plus any interesting bits that can be of assistance.
I've worked in IT for about 17 years and in that time I've worked in desktop support, server support, MS Exchange administration and I now work for a major UK financial institution as an Infrastructure and Network Build engineer.
I passed my CompTIA Network+ back in 2003 but it wasn't until 2008 that I decided to commit my career to networking. I was able to make a sideways move out of the Microsoft team and in to the Network support team and I started to attend the local Cisco Networking Academy (which is great by the way, if you get a chance to attend an Academy do it!)
After successfully passing the Cisco CCNA exploration course I passed my Cisco CCNA certification in September 2009. After receiving my certificate I decided to maintain the momentum and continue to study towards achieving the Cisco CCNP certification.
In September 2011 I passed the CCNP TSHOOT exam which completed my CCNP. After a break from the studies I sat (and passed) the Cisco Certified Design Associate exam in August 2013 and completed my CCDP certification in 2014. From there I had a break with the certification tracks before passing the DevNet Certified Associate exam in February 2021 and joining the DevNet Class of 2020.
Thank you for you support and I'd love to hear from you with any thoughts or comments you have.
All the best with your NetworkStudies!!
Jonathan
